Haha, that works. Only way a towtruck could tow my car was if it was a flatbed, and the flatbed was literally ON the ground.

yeah, flatbed ftw. when my fan blade snapped off & shot into my radiator i had it towed w/a flat bed. the new flat beds have a hydraulic powered adj. tail that gets perfectly flat so you can get the front tires on the bed, then they adj. it so its flat & they winched the car right on there.

some day when i have the money to get a tow rig i want a flatbed on bags. it's the only thing i'd ever allow myself to own that would be on bags. then i could lay frame as i'm laying frame as i drive my car on my car.

soarer? thats extra rad! too bad america decided not to have those
i went to a local meet. hung out with the "drift kids" which were cool. then went over to say whats up to the VW crowd. i was ashamed to associate with that crowd. all rich white kids that didnt know the first thing about cars, let alone the very VW they drive. the also drove like ricers. i wish they were at least driving automatic civics with intake and exhaust. it would be acceptable then.

Jul 23 2011, 04:20 PM
the guy i bought it off has no clue, he bought it cause it was sporty and luxury
from what i could see/ tell
1jz tt
stock turbos 11psi
hks front mount inter cooler
hks intake plenum
blitz nur catback (possibly turbo back) exhaust
hks turbo timer
so the owner befor the guy im buying it off didnt go cheap on modding
2,500AUD with no registration wich is still stupidly cheap
a reg'd one with no mods go for 8k

it sounds sketchy. not down. got an offer to buy it outright today so maybeeeee... talked to the guy with the r32 and he isn't down to help me out getting it across the boarder so i guess that's out. i'm thinking maybe an xf20 ls400, y34 m45, or g50 q45 would be a fun track car. super stripped with a manual swap and supercharger? then forester or s14 daily.

Jul 27 2011, 06:29 AM
you should just get a turbo dodge caravan (yeas theyre a real factory car) and start a roller skate collection instead of drifting

what happened to that rx7? that thing sounded cool. why do you want to sell your Z so bad?
krammitthefrog
Jul 27 2011, 07:01 AM
yeah unless i knew who did a swap like an ls i'd be reallllly hesitant. so many people would cut corners on swapping something like that.
deolio
Jul 27 2011, 07:28 AM
exactly. it's a shame though because the chassis itself is super clean. i'm just trying to figure out what is easier, swapping a manual tranny onto a 1uz, vh45/41, or vk50.

swap kits already exist for the 1UZ and VH manual conversion. what it comes down to is which one can you get cheaper, since both only came in autotragic, so you'll be finding somebody to hook you up smog wise. thanks CA smog regs

Finally got my new soft top installed. And my NB tophats got here yesterday! Gonna lower it hopefully within the next two weeks! I'm so excited.
Still contemplating the 14' BBS wheels. They're from an E30(white centers) and the tires aren't in the best condition.
14' tires cost more than 15's, right?
What to do?
