i haven't paid cuz i won't know pretty much till the day before if i'll be able to drift or not. i only have 3 days to get 3 sets of wheels/tires dis-mounted and remounted, put on my camber, toe arms, and upper a-arms, get an alignment, drive to santa barbara, celebrate my anniversary with my gf, and overcome jet lag. but i will be at balcony drifting or filming no matter what.

your coils are coming in then?! shit, you lucky that can be done in an hour.

Jun 4 2010, 07:56 PM
Coils on a 240 are easy. I bet I can even do them in about about an hour now that I've helped Ivan work on his many times before.
I'm getting excited as the event inches nearer. I am trying to get my brother to let me borrow his truck so I can haul ice chests, tents, awnings, chairs and possibly a ghetto camera dolly if I can rig one up before the event. Not to mention I could haul all the tools/tires anyone would need so our cars aren't stuffed to the brim and weighed down on the ride out.
If anyone else has a truck, I would like to borrow it, haha.

we should probably discuss what time we wana leave on saturday.
kevin and i get off work at 5 saturday, all id have to do is go home shower and then jam. id probably pack my car up with everything friday to make things go quicker. meet up a sears around 6 and head out from there to enjoy some night drifting. what do you all think?

sounds like a plan. all i gots left to do is put this lsd in the rearend next week and put the bv 4 links on if they come in time. i may be able to get rob at 4x4 to make me a bushed rod end for the panhard in time but if not fuck it, i dont really give a shit if its making noise.
this will be the first r&p im gonna try to set up by myself so im kinda stoked on that. won't have done the pinion gear but ill set the backlash and check the pattern myself (of course have wendell check it over when im done too).
harry
Jun 6 2010, 07:05 AM
ya. i say be 100% packed on friday. that way, we can leave right after you guys get off.
things i gotta do before the event:
fix steering play
flip tires
top off diff (lol it leaks)
might put my stock overflow back
dang its sooo close!

Jun 6 2010, 06:38 PM
yea definitely try and get everything done asap. Last year, I was sweating bullets....I did a timing belt and water pump job the day before doing 2 events in one weekend. Bolt heads snapping, needing a new alternator belt, it was rough haha.
Luckily I dont have too much to do to get ready...
install rucas
align

Jun 7 2010, 03:50 PM
so you guys want to go down saturday night?
remember, just because just drift is there at night, doesnt mean the gates are open.
remember allstarbash a few years ago robbie, when camping first started..... the same thing came up. where people wanted to leave and come back. but willow said
" you can stay, but past X:00pm your in, as the gates will be closed and no one is in or out "
so im not sure what time the gates are locked. so be sure you can get in if you want to roll saturday evening.

People leaving in the main caravan should have no problem getting in. We plan on leaving around 5:30-6(?) so we should have ample time to get there.
Ivan the Terrible
Jun 9 2010, 07:47 PM
yep, meet at sears between 5 and 6 to head out at...well 6. takes like 3 hours max to get there so we have pleanty of time to stop and buy supplies at the usual gas station before arriving to the track.

without causing a stir. might be beneficial to raise the car a bit. so you dont worry about breaking it on the way to the track.
