So im about to boost my single cam, and im just wondering if that would be a good idea or not. I mean they make a whole bolt on kit for them now on cx racing but i dont know if a single cam can handle a turbo. What should i do

Oh it will blow up real quick if you don't rebuild it, Trust me on this haha it's not fun. Just do it right the first time and save your self down time and money in the long run.

thanks man that helps out a lot. Im thinking about just buying the whole kit on cx racing. It comes with everything ill need, and if i do end up blowing it up its not like single cams are expensive, its worth a try i guess

i guess you could do it that way but you could damage the turbo in the process. remember, the motor is old and has been ran hard and parts have been worn down over the years and i know when i say it will end up breaking something. at least do an oem rebuild, ie. headgasket, replace seals and clean internals and you can still run a nice amount of boost and enjoy every bit of it.

or buy another motor like you're going to have to eventually anyways and rebuild it, then put it in when you're done, then rebuild the one that came out of your car and repeat the process everytime something breaks.
