6. i actually just picked this up sunday morning (8/29/10). me and my bro left at 4 in the morning to drive 5 n' a half hours away to pick this coupe up. we arrived at the guys house and he briefed up with the rest of the story behind the car. it has brand new stance coilovers(maybe 50 miles on them), which he said were all the way down but i looked and it still has all the collars on them, new enkei 16"(dont know anything else about them really yet) with new tires, and a new stage 3 clutch. other than that the car is pretty much stock. he said he swapped in a different ka and stopped driving it bc "the fan needed a relay" come to find out it wasnt even wired up. the biggest problem we found was the motor had a lot of blow back when we removed the oil cap, so i think the piston rings are going out(not a huge deal). ill get it all working again and drive it till it blows up then go from there. other than that the car has a few dings but im still in college so im not looking for something perfect.

all in all i picked this baby up for $1200 cash.

oh and on the way back to san angelo we stopped in a city called mineral wells because we caught wind of a drift event going on.

thanks everyone im trying to wire up a fan but i was wondering how do you guys run yalls electric fans? i was thinking about running a toggle switch.

and which powder blue coupe?

I have them wired sucking in.

what i meant was are they wired into a relay or a toggle or something.

the one with the slamburglars sticker and my fans are wired up to a switch.

ah ok that car is a pewter goldish..sorry the pics are from my phone..but i just picked up a toggle switch and some 14ga. wire.

ivan whered you mount your toggle switch if you dont mind me asking. im thinking about mounting mine on the left side of the steering wheel under the button to flip the lights up. it looks like another button used to be there.

i took out my ac stuff so i just cut a carbon fibre piece where the climate control stuff went to fit there and mounted my emergency kill switch, fans, and gauge lights to it. it looks cool, ill try to find a pic for you

sweet thanks. yea this car had the ac taken out, none of the lines are there either. im just not sure if i want to hide the switch or keep it easily visible.

i guess the picture i was thinking of was on my old computer, you can sorta see it in this picture. the other switches are further to the side

dude that looks pretty badass. i got a metal switch(its kinda hard to switch up and down) but i think imma take it back and get one like the red one you have. it looks good in ur car for real.

Thanks, yea the metal ones aren't good. I like the plastic ones I got since they short out before anything else does so I avoid any in cabin fires lol which have come close before. If I find that picture on my old phone I'll post it

no switch is meant to withstand high amps. thats why you wire in a relay or get a battery isolator switch.

i got the switch all wired up and its been working great so far..im going to make a build thread soon if my comp with stop being special.

ive cut out some rust that ate thru the frame and welded up some new metal..not my best welds but they are decent.

sweet, what are you welding with? i picked up a lincoln 175 super cheap on craigslist a while back and have been learning on that. i love welding, i can make so many useful things.

im welding with a miller, idk the specific name lol but my dad has 2 miller mig units, a big miller stick/generator unit(he puts it in the back of his truck), then he just picked up a water cooled lincoln tig unit, we also have a smaller lincoln stick unit, and a miller plasma machine...i know im leaving out some machines we have but in all we have a pretty good set up..ill take some pics of of barn/garage we have.

ive been mig(wire welding) for a good 3 years now, im about to learn how to stick weld vertical up, and then learn how to tig. pops wont teach me to tig till i learn how to stick like a mother f...lol
