Full Version: Any good bumper ideas?

Sup guys my bumper on the prius is damaged and i'm replacing it so i bought an unpainted bumper to do something cool to it. So far i'm thinking of covering it in either bumper stickers or comic boom pages then seal and clear coat it. If you can think of anything else that would be fun, throw it in the mix. And tell me what you think of the 2 ideas i got.

Paint it the same color as your car and install it.

Baddass looking prius bumper. Def gata think about that option.
rgarre4
I like sticker bombs when its a bumper or a fender. It's not like i'm going to sticker out the whole front end.
deolio
a honda might be the way to go then hahahaha
rgarre4
Guess its time to trade the prius and get a EG civic to rice out. lol

just realized this was a bumper thread. well,

heres the bagged prius i was looking for

but ya, that aimgain kit looks cool. [EDIT: just realized the Aimgain pics i posted are also later gen. Max posted the correct gen.

I did look up Noblesse because they make a badass kit for the Fit. They do make a prius kit, but it is for a later gen :/

^love that last one

some spinners though...

After my bumper is back in shape ima shop around for some coilovers and a decent set of 15s.

I'd honestly dump no money at all into such a car.

The Prius can be a good looking car and they have a good shape to work with. Aside from the bad reputation they get, they're a pretty decent car.

Here's a pic of a prius on some decent (albeit high offset) wheels. (it won't let me embed these pics. Sorry.)

Maybe someone can photoshop this lower? He was on Eibach springs. If this were on coilovers it would be perfect.

I do have a soft spot for the prius though. This was mine.

Would have looked decent lowered with some spacers, but I was in high school and the car was still my parents, even though it was basically mine. It was eventually gonna have my name on the title but it got totalled...

lol ewwwwwww

If you're set on dumping money in to this then I'd save your money and go big right away, the right wheels, aero etc. No one likes a half assed Prius. lol
bobbawon
My Prius was half assed. You know what happens to half assed Priuses? Fate deals with them.

hahaha. Good things came from that. Now I have a decent car.
deolio
destroyed the ugly tinted tails hahaha perfect
kyleedwin
^^ beat me to it.
bobbawon
I never tinted tail lights after that. I'm over plasti dip and niteshades. I've put that behind me haha
joshg51
I'm glad I never had a plastidip or smoked light phase but I do have fake wheels so it's something.
bobbawon
I was 17 and it was cheap and fun while it lasted. But I wouldn't do it again. Plastidip has it's place, but it's not a great method for painting your whole car or your wheels. And Niteshades is just a terrible product, all though I have considered using their red spray...
joshg51
No just use tint like I did. Niteshade will have a rough finish unless you do a lot of sanding with a clear coat.
bobbawon
Pretty sure Max used spray on red stuff on his tails and they came out clean

Terrible fender fitment
kyleedwin
If they lost the flares or had wider wheels it wouldn't be terrible.
joshg51
You can see the front fenders don't fit that well but I like the design would like to see a front and rear universal set of those. Would work great for cars that want super aggressive wide body aero, like the red v8 Cressida on jzxproject, that car would look super boss with it. The rear fender angle is too flat so the wheel can't tuck in under compression, all it does is cover the wheel and tire which is why they haven't given the car super aggressive fitment.
