Memory fab told me to use Zoop sealant for polished aluminum, then continue to wax it regularly. I was reading online that Zoop went under and the founder started ShineSeal. Has anyone used this product or similar products to seal aluminum?

Waxing might not be the best thing to do as most waxes arent made for high temperature + brake dust

have both of you guys used the diamond edge product? should i just get the sealer? I think i am going to get it. There are so many products out there i have no idea what to go with. all i now is never waxed or sealed these wheels after i would polish them and i would always get lots of pitting. i dont want to do that again!

I haven't used it personally, but Snail uses it on their polished wheels. It isn't used as a sealant though, more or less a wax/cleaner product-thing.

I don't think you really can "seal" aluminum, at least not permanently.
I don't have much experience with it but I know a lot of guy's who have polished their aluminum dirt bike frames, and have tried all kinds of things to seal it, even clear coating over it and that eventually scrapes off too.

He's right. Maybe though, they've somehow managed to create a product that applies some kinda sealing coat on raw metal.

I've been running polished wheels for about 5 years now and used Autosol and Alu-Magic on my previous polished wheels. Dont know if they sell these in the US though. Both are abrasive metal polishes, not sealants. I would use one of these like once a week to keep the wheels shiny.

My buddy uses Meguiars All Metal Polish for his polished Audi TT Fat Fives. But they're way easier to keep clean and shiny as they're forged wheels.

ShineSeal is a proprietary blend of several chemicals that form a seal over metal. ShineSeal is not a polish, cleaner, or wax, but it will protect against oxidation and the dulling of metal without changing the metal's appearance. When ShineSeal is applied, it impregnates the metal's pores and a chemical bonding takes place. ShineSeal and the metal become affixed to one another. The chemical bond seals off the breathing process of the metal, which is the cause of oxidation and deterioration.

Get a small amount and do a review on it.
