Full Version: sunroof hole-filling options

So, after smashing a barrier last night (damage is minimal) I'm once again considering just re-shelling my car. The most cost-effective route would be to use my shell that I already have, but it still has a sunroof hole, and I do not have the sunroof for it (I'm going to ask the PO if he still has it, though)

but worst case scenario, what are some low-buck (that still look decent) options to fill in the hole? I'm not really down for the whole "riveting a piece of sheet-metal over it and leaving it be" option that I've seen around Vegas quite a bit lol
deolio
my dick could fill it.

yay reshell!

i think the riveted aluminum would work. you could tie it in with the interior. riveted door panels or bomber style seats. would be uncomfortable for drifting though
PotatoSparkles
haha that could work, but only if I was going all-out because racecar, trying to keep it at least a little clean tongue.gif

all he did was strip the stock seats down to bare frame then riveted aluminum on top and beat up the paint

PotatoSparkles
haha but I've got Recaros I want to put in! I've also always been a fan of full-interiors.

well i guess the riveted aluminum sunroof can look race car too

you've never seen me weld wtf lol

I think for temporary I'm going to do the sheetmetal thing, then get the roof swapped over later on.

patch the hole with a roadsign....now where can you acquire one of those?
Corbonz0
roadsign idea= f yeaaaaa jaja
ply wood and paint for the extreme ghetto
Master_Spazez
use factory panel then fab brackets up to hold it in place.
kfed
I have a couple road signs at my mom's house Ian, if you need it.
funfgang
I did rivets.
