i <3 my LSD. never fails me. and i have a TON of fun with it.

If it's old it might not lock as hard as it should. But weldeds suck for dailying unless you have real testicles and just don't give a shit.
Goon360
If you have an LSD, why even bother with a welded diff?
David48
Because sometimes old abused lsd's don't lock properly.
loki
good lsd > welded diff > lsd that doesn't lock properly.

in you're opinion, if the lsd is worn and you don't want to rebuild it, a welded diff will be better, just be really really careful driving in the rain.

shim the lsd with hamburgers then put both diffs in your car at the same time. if its a nice lsd put that in. it only takes an after noon to shim a diff and shims are cheap.

Check out http://www.weirperformance.com/ he has rebuild kits and also takes apart old diff's and saves clutch packs so can sell good used ones for cheap have to ask him though. I ended up welding mine because i shimmed 2 diff's twice and i got tired of taking it out but cars track only now.

well ive decided to go welded im not sure how old the lsd is and not really worth the time seeing as i am going to fix the x7 up and resale it
