so i got a great deal today a mx73 with a r145 and lsd for cheap
i was thinking about just swapin differentials and welding the one ima put in the 73 and put the lsd in the 63 the w58 i will still put in the 63 cuz im not goin crazy 1jz power anytime soon
i need opinions should i use the lsd or welded in my 63 im going to eventually sell the 73
the 63 will be my daily/funsies drifter and i have heard lsd dont do so great sometimes

If it's old it might not lock as hard as it should. But weldeds suck for dailying unless you have real testicles and just don't give a shit.

Because sometimes old abused lsd's don't lock properly.

good lsd > welded diff > lsd that doesn't lock properly.
in you're opinion, if the lsd is worn and you don't want to rebuild it, a welded diff will be better, just be really really careful driving in the rain.

shim the lsd with hamburgers then put both diffs in your car at the same time. if its a nice lsd put that in. it only takes an after noon to shim a diff and shims are cheap.

http://www.weirperformance.com/ he has rebuild kits and also takes apart old diff's and saves clutch packs so can sell good used ones for cheap have to ask him though. I ended up welding mine because i shimmed 2 diff's twice and i got tired of taking it out but cars track only now.

well ive decided to go welded im not sure how old the lsd is and not really worth the time seeing as i am going to fix the x7 up and resale it
