Hi guys, my name is Taryn and I’m from Auckland, New Zealand. I know of Slamburglars mainly due to Will Cotter’s car as this was one of the reasons I decided to buy a Roadster myself! My car is a ’93 NA Miata (MX-5 here in NZ) and I’ve had it for about a year now. Started off stock standard and I’ve since caught the mod bug, nothing spectacular under the hood unfortunately as I’ve chosen to focus on mainly looks for the time being, although eventually I’d love to upgrade to a bigger 1.8 engine or even supercharge/turbo my 1.6. For now though, here are a few pictures...

It's not my daily driver so really just a weekend cruiser/track car. So much fun to drive!

Above is a most recent shot of the car, its since gone in to get repainted, and this week I’m getting modified tophats installed on my BCs so I can go even lower. Project G wing will be going on too!

Stuff I’ve done to it so far:

BC Gold Coilovers (lowest I can get them without the modified tophats gives me about 40mm clearance)
14x7.5 -3 pink Watanabes
Front/rear lip added (just been painted all white too)
Hard top (soft top removed)
Bolt in half cage
Bride Pros seats
Pink bubble shifter
Clear side indicators
New wing mirrors
Vented bonnet
Air filter + heat shield

I think that is everything? Should have some waaaaay better photos of it soon... can't WAIT to get that wheel to fender gap closed up!

More photos and info on the car can be found on my blog here.

Thanks for reading smile.gif

Welcome to the forum!

Word. I'm assuming you saw my flickr or something. I shot the majority of the shots of Harry's car floating around the interwebs.

Welcome dude. Digging the fresh paint.

Welcome, welcome. I want a flossy paint job like you!

What'd you do with your amber side markers? (if you don't mind me asking)

Thanks guys! I remember when I was looking at Miata photos last year, Harrison's was one of the cars in my little inspiration folder on my computer! Since I bought mine I've been loving every second of it - I love driving it just as much as I love looking at it so I've been doing some track days and a few skid days in it. Trying to break the useless woman driver stereotype haha.... although I am still pretty useless!

Only thing that is a bit of a struggle is that NZ roads are so shit and I'm already finding it difficult driving it at the height it is now .... so should be really interesting when it's even lower! A friend is going to fabricate me some frame rails and help me figure out the best way to protect the sump unsure.gif - any suggestions?

Our country also has really strict laws about ride height and tyre stretch, some of them are quite ridiculous. We have little ways of bending them though but it is such a pain! angry.gif

Raise the motor and put a skid plate under it.
