Pulled in to Dunkin Donuts to get a big 'n toasty and a coffee. Mowed that **** down and then was off to welding class. Backing out of my parking spot, a piece of rebar sticking out of the ground caught my lip/bumper and ripped that shiz clean right the ef off.

Good thing I always have plenty of zipties in my glovebox, shiz was fixed in no time. The manager didn't even offer anything other than asking if my car was fast and why is my hood so rusty. Should I report this and try to get insurance monies from Dunks to maybe get a new bumper/fenders and possibly some sideskirts?

Or should I just say ef it and keep on keepin on, btw this dunks is not my normal one. Never been there before and will never be going back.

All fixed...well sorta, my bumper doesn't really line up straight with my hood anymore and my driver's fender has a good sized gap between it and the hood

Those are some scary pieces of rebar.

Yea, and the dude didn't even care. I told him any rebar that's sticking out of the ground like that needs to be covered. If someone tripped over the loose cement thing and impaled themselves on that rebar they'd be in for a huuuuuge lawsuit. I just don't know if I should try to go about gettin loot for this, I don't think any insurance company would even pay for anything considering my bumper was already scraped. But if I could get some cash monies that'd be sick, I could fix all the bs with my car and maybe put some aero/side skirts on.

Fuck thats pretty gnarlyyyy.

I wouldn't necessarily blame the manager seeing as how he just works there, but yeah.

Update on this shiz:

Got an appraisal for the damages from a body shop today. They quoted me $1000 to fix the bumper and fender. They said it was so much because they would have to get a brand new bumper from Nissan. Took the appraisal to dunks and finally got to talk to the owner. Dude was a dude, was wicked pissed the manager didn't do anything about it and was pissed at his landscaping company for leaving that shit all busted up.

He said he's going to send an appraiser out to assess the damages and then he'll make his landscapers pay for it. Hopefully good stuff comes from this, I could use a nice turbo setup :-)

Good luck with that! I'm willing to bet they will pay you. It might take some time and you throwing a fit but you'll get paid.
