Hello my names Aaron
Been looking around the blog and the forum for awhile now I drive a red mk1 mx5 (miata for the US foke haha) had her a couple of months but i have no pictures but lowered exhaust interior mods etc just too get me started. And im from a little town called Corby in Sun England (If only hah) |

Just got some picture on my iphone (sorry they arent too good) but you get the idea
and its a 1991 Uk (with an open diff that needs too be welded or replaced ha) Also need to lose gay chrome door protector thing lol only on one side but hella load of glue on there ![]() ![]()

probably had a vlsd or an lsd to begin with.
harry should be able to give you some input on how he likes/dislikes his welded diff. i found they like to push. anyway welcome -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah the open diff's can be welded but you cant with the vlsd. cheers skinny i may have to hold you too that haha !! and thanks for the welcomes

ya, i have a welded 1.6 open diff.
worked really well for the 2 drift days i have done. its cheap, predictable and offers 100% lock. other than drift days, i wouldn't want one. i daily'd with mine for over a year maybe and it is just really annoying. Your car will hop/shake/chirp whenever you turn. I also did not like it for grip driving. i did an autocross with it and like robbie said, it made my car want to push (understeer) at turn in. Its also hard to say smooth if you are grip driving with a welded because your car will hop/shake/chirp during turning and upset the balance. -------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() |
