anyone running really wide wheels or know of any?

im thinking of running some 15x9 et-10 on the rear of my mx5 (miata), will be with 205 or even 195/45 tyres for extra clearance..

but would they be, well just silly?

anyone got pics (with similar wheel specs)

thanks

ya that would fit really nice and both a 205 or 195 would work well i think.

this is 15x10 with 205/45

its same car that minty posted but before the speedhunters feature. i think he also running 205s in the speedhunters feature, they just wrote the wrong size.

cause those would be some skinny ass 225s.

minty is me dude, but after posting that one come to mind wink.gif

so you reckon 15x9 et-10 with 195/45s would be ok with rolled and pulled rears?

would i need serious camber to get them fitting right, im already running about 3deg neg camber on rear from just slammin it..

hahaha wow im spacing out. sorry dude.

but ya thats actually like exactly the size i have been thinking about going to.

i bet they would tuck in real nice with a slight pull.

but mount the wheels first and figure out where you want your height,

THEN start rolling/pulling, adjusting camber to get them to fit.

how i think about, i want to pull/add camber as little as possible to get the tightest fit.

if that makes any sense. im not all there right now haha

totally agree, i want to be running less camber as i can tbh..

how do you adjust the camber on these miatas btw dude?

ive got to get them redrilled to 4x100 as the smallest adaptor i can get is 25mm so that would be 15x9 et-35? (i think) and funk that haha..

thanks again dude..

ya good idea. have them redrilled. sounds sick, what wheels they be?

and for camber, on the inside of the lower control arms there are eccentric bolts.

they spin around and push the arm in or out from the car.

just be careful because you need to adjust both bolts together equal amounts.

if you adjust one eccentric bolt more than the other you will also be adjusting your toe.

hope that helps/makes sense.

thanks once again durty..

i have found a very rare fitment of my modernlines (that i have pics of in my build thread)

if all goes to plan wheel specs will be 15x8 et0 front (with 25mm spacers) and 15x9 et-10 rear, both with 195/45 rubber

right on. should be goood.

and for the tire

this is supposedly some 195/45 toyo on a 15x9.

but it also depends on the specific tire. some tires run bigger/smaller or stretch differently than others.

Get new bolts too, they will adjust camber more than the stock "however old your car is" bolts.
