Hey, wondering if you dudes can help,
Basically i have brought an oil cooler, but it has earl fittings ect, on the block adapter, but the bits on the hoses are the wrong sizing to match that of the block adapter. How do i measure which ones ill need? as the ones on the block adapter are like 22mm diameter but they size everything in AN fittings..... Cheers beyyyyys Hope to get some pictures up soon |

too bad you dont live here, i have all kinds you can use to test it. sounds like its a huge one though maybe -10AN, whats the size of the inside part?

Ahhh shit man... That's exactly what I need..
And when I'm home ill measure it... As basically the hose/end that's on it currently is allot smaller, than that of the block adapter.. And don't know whether it would be a issue of the fitting being to big for the hose.. And again stupid question.. If you buy the ends, can you fit them to the hose yourself? I've literally had no experience with them.. And I wish that picture could be in mm aswell... |

yea you can but i recomend the the socketless fittings, those are easier to do yourself and less prone to leak

ok so heres the internal of the hose
 This ones the fitting on the hose that is to small for the adapter.. has some jubilee clip thing?  And then the hose onto the cooler itself  And the block adapter  Internal of the block adapter  External of the block adapter (approx 22mm including the thread)  |

I have no idea either.. As everything I use is metric and I've not a clue with inches ect.. I've never delt with inches only with hat sizing and skate deck widths!

the ones on the block adapter look huge so they are more likely -12AN the one with the hose clamp thing isnt what you want for oil cooler stuff. its not rated to a high enough pressure. this is the sort of fittings and lines i used for all my fluid feeds. its legit stuff and way easier to deal with than the steel braided stuff. honestly the best way to go with making lines is crimp style but IMO second would be socketless style just because of its simplicity
youd of course order the size you need just using this as examples of what i used hose fitting it does kinda suck to get the hose on the fitting but you just need a bit of lube to do it. trust me, itll hold on the hose. i messed one up and i had to slice the hose off to get the fitting out. -------------------- |

Ahh I'm selling it now anyways... The sodding block adapters for a sr20... And I'm broke like mad... Ill have to start again when I have some coinage...
