So as I stated I got the Tein Basis coils for my miata. Problem is when i bring the spring all the way down the shock completely compresses so it cant come down farther. Would extended top mounts solve this problem? Any other ways to get my coils to go lower? I really regret buying them..

from what your describing, yes extended top hats should help but I dont think they'll get you as low as your hoping. Are your bump-stops still in? and welcome btw

have you considered getting different springs? FWIW, most coilover springs are interchangeable, just get the correct spring rate and overall height for your needs. when i had my EK civic, i had tein basics on it, but I used EF springs to go from "lowered" to "dumped". just a budget friendly idea.

What size/rate springs do you think would be good?

I'm currently running 425lb front and 390lb rear (aprox 8k/6k). i'm not bouncy and its actually pretty comfortable, considering the ride height. you would just need to measure the overall height of the spring and find one with a comparable spring rate but shorter overall height. email tein and see what they offer.

Welcome. Nice car. I think for the most part all the tein coilovers don't go very low. I have monoflexs and just about have them maxed out and my car isn't close to being slammed. For your next set of coilovers I would recommend Stances or BCs.

I am ordering coils tonight and then wheels next weekish. Heres some pics guys. I'm gonna go with a ratty/boso look for this one. Hope you guys like it so far.

After this I bought new fenders, a lip and a bumper. I have a new rear bumper/finish plate but i havent got to putting them on.

Then I did this.
